SMYG camp 2025

Starts: 4:00 pm 1 August, 2025
Ends: 8:00 pm 3 August, 2025

SMYG Camp 2025: THIS IS LOVE.

On 1st – 3rd of August, SMYG is heading down to the beach at Scott’s Head to spend a whole weekend together! We’ll hang out, go to the beach, play games, and dig deeply into the Bible in sessions, in quiet times, and in small groups. We’ll sing together, pray together, eat together and have an all round great time!

This year, we are particularly thinking about the love of God. What is love? What does the Bible say about love? What does it mean that God is love? How does God show his love, and how do we love God and others?

We are hoping and praying that it will be a real time of growth as a community as we sit under God’s word together!

Here is a snapshot of some of the details:

We will meet at St Marks UNEchurch car park at 4:00pm on Friday the 1st August. We will eat an early dinner at the church hall. We will travel by bus (and leaders’ cars if necessary) to Scotts Head Christian Youth Centre. We will return to Armidale on Sunday 3rd of August and hold the final talk of camp in combination with St Marks’ 6:30pm service. Parents/carers are welcome to join us for the service or can pick their youth up at the end of the service at approximately 8pm.

Youth will be sleeping in gender specific cabins fitted with beds and mattresses, but will need to provide their own bedding/sleeping bag. There are also bathroom facilities available, including warm showers.

Please note that phone reception at the Scott’s Head Youth Centre is patchy, so the youth may not be able to reliably access internet, SMS, or phone calls. Given this is the case, it is recommended that devices are left at home if possible and any necessary contact be made through the leadership team.

Further details will be sent to attendees after registration has closed, including a detailed packing list. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
