If you’re a uni student or young adult (18-24) we’d love you to join us at Christians United (CU)!
CU exists to build a community of students and young adults on campus at UNE so that many people will come to know Jesus and grow in him. We’re a student club affiliated with UNE life and the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES).
CU runs regular weekly events (Campus Bible Talks and CU Training), one-off events (think Trivia nights or bush dances), annual camps and conferences… not to mention many spontaneous social events. We also facilitate many students meeting up during the week to read the Bible and pray on campus.
Because of UNEchurch’s location on campus, CU partners closely with St Mark’s. Some of our events are at the UNEchurch building, but we also use the Clubs and Socs room and other spaces at UNE.

CU Weekly Events
Campus Bible Talks
When: Thursday nights during class weeks, 7-8pm (check socials for details)
Where: UNE Clubs and Socs Room (between Café Life and the Northern Car Park)
Campus Bible Talks is a great place to start exploring who Jesus is! It’s our weekly event that’s open to everyone – it doesn’t matter whether you’ve never opened a Bible before, or whether you’ve been a Christian for ages. Come along to hear the Bible explained and to consider what God is saying to you. Meet others, have great convos. Supper included, and it’s free!
In Tri 2 this year we’re looking at the book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible and considering how following Jesus gives us life beyond blah.

Want to meet Jesus? Uni is a great time to read and chat through an eyewitness biography of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.
It’s great to make an informed decision about who Jesus is – why not sign up today?

CU Training
When: CU Training is kicking off for 2026 after the Easter break.
CU Training is like a fun group gym session for your Christian life. Together we grow and are trained in how to live, think and love well for Jesus. (We also eat a lot of food!)

Annual camps & conferences
Kick-off Camp is the best start to the year! Get together with new and returning faces for a weekend away at the beach, spending time in God’s word and making plans for the new year.
Early Tri 1 every year, Scotts Head
Go deep on a topic and in fellowship for 5-days. This one is designed to help you mature as a Christian and be struck by just how incredible God is! Lot’s of time in God’s word and with each other.
Mid-Year Uni Break every year, Scotts Head
NTE is what it says it is! National – gathering folks from campuses across Australia for Training – how to handle God’s word well and teach it to others. And it’s certainly an Event with over 2000 involved each year.
