The heart of our life together at unechurch is when we gather Sunday by Sunday, to meet with God through His word, to pray for each other and the world, and to share our lives over a coffee at the end of the service.

WE HAVE NEW PEOPLE CHECKING US OUT ALL THE TIME,

AND WE’D LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOIN US AS WELL!

EACH WEEK WE MEET AT THREE TIMES ON A SUNDAY

7PM

It's a contemporary service aimed at senior school uni and young workers, but everyone is welcome! The vibe on Sunday night is heart felt and fun, with an emphasise on the quality of supper!

9:30AM

Morning church with kids program. A mix of old, families and young attend 9:30. You’ll find contemporary music and a relaxed, welcoming vibe.

4PM

Church with kids program is a more intimate mix of families and a range of others. ‘Arvo’ church is informal and friendly, often staying for a meal together after the service.

How do you get here?

KIDS @ UNECHURCH

St. Marks UNEChurch has a series of different ministries for Children during services and also at other times of the week. Children are a vital part of the uneChurch family. We seek to nurture and grow them by supporting their parents and carers and by running programmes to train them up in love and awe of the Lord Jesus. At [email protected] and Sun AM there is both a creche and a Sunday school program called Kid's Club.

PLAYTIME

Playtime is a weekly, informal gathering of parents and children 0-5 years. It is a place for playing, growing, friendships and having fun for both child and parent. Not too mention a good cuppa for tired parents :) New families are welcome anytime! Please feel free to come along and check it out.

When and Where is it held?

Playtime runs from 10am-12noon on Tuesday mornings during State school terms. We meet on campus at UNE, at uneChurch, off Trevanna Road. For details of how to get there click here.

How does Playtime work?

The weekly program includes free (unstructured) play, craft, morning tea for both children and parents, and singing. Playtime sometimes includes messy activities, ie painting and glueing, so dress your child appropriately!

Children bring a piece of fruit to share for morning tea and rice crackers are provided. To be more inclusive of all children, their morning tea is gluten/nut/egg free. Fees are $10 per family per term (covers craft materials and toy maintenance).

Playtime works best when parents’ are actively involved in playing with their children and help out by providing morning tea, by packing away toys and generally tidying up.

Who runs Playtime?

Playtime is run by Christian mothers from uneChurch with the support and involvement of all parents. As Playtime is part of the wider uneChurch community, from time to time our stories, craft and songs may include Bible content.

We hope you find this information helpful. If you have any further questions please contact us through the uneChurch office (02) 6787 4015 or [email protected]

YOUTH PROGRAMS

St. Marks UNEChurch is dedicated to seeing young people come to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him. It is increasingly hard to be a young Christian today, with pressure from peers and society to follow other things than worshipping God. We believe that a life dedicated to Jesus is the only way for people to find true meaning, purpose and hope. To this end, we want to work hard with our young people to introduce them to Jesus, to teach them the Bible, to show them that they can be a Christian in our context and not have to turn off their brains to do so. We also want to show youth that being part of God's church is not simply about sitting in church and following a bunch of rules. To do this, we aim to have lots of fun with the youth, to build friendships, to care for one another.

There are several programs that we run at UNEChurch to achieve these aims, more information on each is provided in the links below.

Senior High

Sundays 5pm > Years 10 - 12

Senior High is a Bible Study run for older youth in years 10-12, once they have “graduated” from SMYG. We meet at 5pm every Sunday during the school term, on campus near UNEchurch. Every Sunday afternoon we have some food to eat, spend some time chatting and getting to know one another, and then we get into God's word. Afterwards, we join UNEchurch at 7pm as a group, to worship, learn and fellowship with other young Christians.

If you are thinking of coming along to Senior High, please contact Michael Hemans on 0403 273 750 or email Michael Hemans

SMYG (St Marks Youth Group)

Fridays 7pm > Years 7 - 10

Our youth group runs every Friday night during the school term, from 7-9pm. This is run up at UNEchurch, and is open to any youth from years 7-10. We aim to run a night that is safe as well as being fun, where youth can enjoy Christian fellowship while hanging out with people their own age. SMYG is especially good for youth that have not been Christians for a long time or who are still seeking answers, as we try to explain the gospel and the Bible in clear, simple terms as well as allowing substantial time in small groups for youth to ask questions.

For more information about SMYG please contact Michael Hemans on 0403 273 750 or email Michael Hemans
